Ultrasound Consultants International provides 3 distinct services

Governmental/Corporate Hands on Clinical Training

We offer two comprehensive and practical courses for the training of ultrasound technicians. The first is a one week refresher session for senior ultrasound techs. The second is a four week in-depth review class for newer graduate technicians. Courses cover theory, pathology, anatomy and knobology. Our hands on training will demonstrate how to optimally utilize an ultrasound machine, image the human body and professionally document findings. Experienced and licensed teachers and current equipment would ensure a high quality training experience.

Government & Corporate mobile ultrasound operations

Ultrasound Consultants International excels in the establishment of mobile diagnostic scanning operations. Our logistics experts conduct in-depth interviews with health and corporate leaders to determine the organizational objectives and how best to achieve them. U.C.I then assists in the selection of machines, vehicles, communication tools and software to ensure a successful endeavor.

Private In-home health & wellness screenings

We offer in home health ultrasound screenings to determine if you are at increased risk of heart disease, stroke, blood clots and other serious illnesses. Our comprehensive exam take on average between 60-90 minutes and covers multiple parts of the body. Preventative screenings are vital for people 50 and over, or 40 and over with certain risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. Our professional technicians come to you at the designated appointment time and the cost of the exam is disclosed beforehand, so no surprise medical bills

Ultrasound Consultants International offers preventative and screening health exams in your home. Diagnostic ultrasound scans, EKG and blood tests can be done in the privacy and comfort of your residence. Our preventative scans focus on the below body parts:

  • Liver

The liver is the largest organ in the body that metabolizes all the substances taken into your body. Damage to the liver by alcohol, infections, disease or medication can lead to Cirrhosis, Hepatitis and other liver abnormalities.

  • Kidneys

The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs that filter out wastes from your blood and regulate blood pressure. Damage to the kidneys from hypertension, diabetes or medications can lead to renal failure, strokes, a depressed immune system and end stage renal disease.

  • Spleen

The spleen is an organ in the upper abdomen that fights infections and produces white blood cells. It becomes enlarged in the presence of infections, cirrhosis, liver diseases and auto-immune disorders.

  • Thyroid

The thyroid is a butterfly shaped organ present in the neck. It produces hormones that affect metabolism and heart rate. An over-active or under-active thyroid may cause weight gain or loss, hormone imbalances, rapid heart rate or gland enlargement.

  • Prostate

The prostate is the male reproductive organ just below the bladder. The prostate starts becoming enlarged starting at age 40. Cancer of the prostate is the leading cause of death of men 40 years or older worldwide. Signs of an enlarged prostate and possible prostate cancer include difficult urination, back pain and lack of erections.

  • Testicular

The testes are part of the male reproductive organs. They can become enlarged and painful if there is an infection, trauma, incompetent veins or heart failure.

  • Breast

The breasts are two paired structures on the chest wall. The breasts can be affected by infection, abnormal tissue growth (neoplasms) or cysts. Breast Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide.

  • Short term intensive training/review

The abdominal Aorta is the largest blood vessel in the body and runs mid-line just left of your spine. It may becomes enlarged due to hypertension or hardening of the vessel walls. This can lead to leakage or rupture, and is called an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA). This will lead to a life-threatening medical emergency. Hypertension, smoking and high cholesterol are leading causes of AAA.

  • Consultation services in regards to establishing a mobile ultrasound scanning operation.

The carotid arteries are vessels that carry blood up to the brain. Plaque deposits may build up on the walls of this vessel and can break loose, traveling to the brain and causing a stroke. Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide. Hypertension, smoking and high cholesterol are the leading causes of strokes.

  • In-home diagnostic screenings

The arterial vessels of the lower legs provide oxygenated blood distally. These vessels can become blocked or narrowed due to plaque deposits or hardening of the arterial walls. This leads to reduced blood-flow to the lower legs and causes a condition called PVD/PAD.
Reduced blood flow leads to pain and gangrene, and possible leg amputation. Risk factors for PVD/PAD include smoking, Diabetes, Hypertension and high cholesterol.

  • Lower extremity venous

The venous vessels of the lower legs bring blood back from the legs to the heart. If the flow of blood becomes stagnant due to leg injury, surgery, inactivity or hereditary factors, a blood clot can form. This causes pain, swelling and warmth in the leg and may travel up to the lungs and cause a fatal pulmonary embolism.

  • Arterial Fibrillation

Arterial Fibrillation or A-Fib, is an irregular heartbeat often caused by heart disease, hypertension, sleep apnea, caffeine or congenital heart defect. A-Fib can cause a blood clot in the heart that travels up to the brain and causes a stroke.
